Republicans said they were ready to stay late and leave for the Christmas break later in order to hold a meeting on December 18 to consider the issue of transferring money to Ukraine. The upper house will convene next Monday. They are to decide on the transfer of 61 billion euros to Ukraine. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has expressed his position:
There is a discussion exclusively about the border between the United States and Mexico. The package includes Israel, Ukraine and the border. I see that there will be a 100% solution, I see the logic of the process. I cannot guarantee whether it will be before Christmas or in January.

House Speaker Mike Johnson did not support the proposal to extend the congressmen’s work for a week. In the end, the Senate will still return to work on Monday,” Channel 24 reports.
