Businessman Maksym Krippa has expanded his investment portfolio by becoming a co-owner of the DIM developer. He has previously closed major deals in the real estate market, including the acquisition of the Ukraina Hotel, Parus Business Center, and an estate near Kyiv. It is known that the businessman has invested $100 million in Ukraine over the past two years.

The publication “Vlasna Dumka” found out who Maksym Krippa is and how he makes money.

The investor’s business strategy includes several key niches: real estate, esports, and IT (game development). He is also involved in charity and headed the Ukrainian Federation of Esports.

Maksym Krippa and real estate – what he owns in Kyiv and the region

  • Hotel Ukraina – purchased in 2024.
  • Parus Business Center – on December 1, 2023.
  • The estate in Kozyn – January 2023.

The investor purchased the estate in Kozyn, Kyiv region, at an open auction for UAH 311.11 million, which is 60% higher than the starting price of UAH 187.63 million. Over time, a corporate club base for NAVI may be built there, as, for example, the Dynamo Kyiv football club has. Also, as Maksym Krippa told Forbes in an interview, he has an idea to build a SHA Wellness Clinic there.

The deal on the Parus business center was closed after the AMCU’s approval. The negotiations on the facility lasted several months. At first, Maksym Krippa discussed the details with the then owner Vadym Stolar, and then submitted an application to the AMCU.

The business passed the regulator’s checks, including the source of funds for the purchase. He also paid taxes. The AMCU allowed the investor to purchase the building in November 2023. On December 1 of that year, Maksym Krippa became the owner of Parus Business Center. The 75,000-square-meter building, of which about 55,000 square meters are commercial premises, is considered one of the tallest skyscrapers in Kyiv with a total height of 133.1 meters. The transaction amount was not disclosed.

Exactly a year later, on November 29, 2024, businessman Maksym Krippa officially became the owner of the Ukraina Hotel in the center of Kyiv. The auction took place in September on the Prozorro.Sale platform. Ola Fine, an investor company, took part in the auction and offered the highest bid of UAH 2.5 billion for the lot. In total , Maksym Krippa paid UAH 3 billion for the hotel, of which an additional UAH 500 million was paid as VAT.

Investments in Ukrainian esports and game development

In 2018, Maksym Krippa acquired 25% of Maincast, becoming one of the first major investors in the then young Ukrainian company. Later, he increased his stake. The same year, the businessman became interested in the NAVI esports team, started negotiating and became a sponsor. In 2022, he officially became the owner of the NAVI esports organization.

In September 2023, Ukrainian entrepreneur Maksym Krippa became the new beneficiary of GSC Game World. For more than 10 years, the company was unable to release the second part of the cult game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Due to financial difficulties, among other things, the company could not release the second part of the cult game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. At the time of signing the agreement, businessman Maksym Krippa said that he planned to focus on the development of the game. Eventually, on November 20, 2024, the legendary game finally became available for download.

Businessman Maksym Krippa said that IT, esports, and gaming remain priority areas for future investments.

How Maksym Krippa makes money

In an interview with Forbes, the businessman talked about his way to the first million and key solutions for building an effective business model. It became known that in the 2000s, he cooperated with Kyivstar, which is when he formed the capital for further investments. In 2007, he was engaged in retail trade and worked in the real estate market in the Kyiv region.

In 2016, he moved to the UAE. At that time, the real estate market was stagnant. As Max Krippa himself comments, it was an incredibly good time to enter. The difference with today’s prices was striking, 5-7 times for some properties, he said in an interview.

As of 2025, Max Krippa has a portfolio of office, residential, and development real estate in the UAE that reaches more than 100,000 square meters, including land plots 15 minutes from Dubai Mall.
